Cast of The Joneses Talk about Miley

At an interview for her new film “The Joneses” on Friday, Demi revealed her plans to team up with Miley: “She plays my daughter. It’s a remake of a French film called ‘LOL,’ with the same French director [Lisa Azeulos]. She’s incredible.”
Fellow “The Joneses” star David couldn’t help but chime in with hopes of becoming involved, if only on the sidelines; “Can I come visit you on set with my daughter?” he asked, admitting it would make him a cool dad because his ten-year-old daughter is a huge Miley fan.
“Yes, you can,” promised Demi. “But you will have to travel on location.”
Demi continued to explain that the film, which will shoot outside of Los Angeles, is about a mother and daughter who struggle to stay close after a respective divorce and breakup. After recently meeting with Miley, Demi says the project is forging ahead – “We’re just kind of getting going…” – and she has little doubt about the daughter casting.
Demi called the “Last Song” star “a true professional,” describing her as having “a wonderful family…it really shows.” And David kept the Miley praise coming.
“She’s funny,” David said. “I watch [Hannah Montana] with my kids, and I’ll be like, ‘That girl is funny!’”

A Holland teenager looking to make his big break in music has a great opportunity to get noticed. Joel T. Crouse, 17, a Tantasqua Regional High School graduate, is singing backup vocals on a soon-to-be-released duet by teen singing sensation Miley Cyrus and Sheryl Crow.
Crouse was in Nashville a few weeks ago working with some fellow songwriters when he got a call from his producer, Jamie Houston.
“While I was there, my producer (who is producing the single) asked me to get to a studio,” Crouse said. “I recorded the part and it was cool. It was a good experience.”
Crouse said he is not at liberty to name the song or reveal its release date.

Selena wrote a blog on her Facebook earlier today, saying what a wonderful time she had on tour and how she is now off to Budapest to start filming Monte Carlo. It’s such a sweet blog and as you know July is a big month for Selena, so expect her back in America and better than ever!

Spain, France, U.K., Germany– Thank you all so much for making me feel so at home while I was on this promo tour. Putting out an album has always been a dream of mine, getting to tour that album all over the world and meeting my fans everywhere was apart of that dream, I can not express how grateful I am for this experience, for my album, for the tour and most of all for all of YOU… I hope you all enjoy the record, I cannot wait to make it back out to see you guys and hopefully do some shows!
America– I had a wonderful time in Europe but, I do miss home very, very much. I am very excited to start working again and I couldn’t pick a better place to live while I shoot my movie BUT I also can’t wait to get back to see all of my family, friends, and fans!
The rest of the world– I hope to come visit you all very soon so I can meet everyone and see all the beautiful places there are out there!

Selena Gomez Added To Lilith Fair Line-Up

The full list of tour dates has been revealed for the 2010 Lilith Fair, while performers and line-up details are still being announced. Rihanna is the latest star added to the mix of female performers, taking a break from her “Last Girl on Earth” tour for a stop at Lilith.
The Lilith Fair hits 36 cities across the country this summer, kicking off in Calgary on June 27th and wrapping up in Dallas, TX on August 16th. Rihanna is set to perform at the Salt Lake City date on Monday, July 12th.
Also recently added to the bill is teen Disney star Selena Gomez. Gomez, who scored a hit with her single “Naturally,” will be performing other cuts from her album “Kiss and Tell.” Gomez joins other female artists headlining dates at the event, like Kelly Clarkson, Sheryl Crow, Sia, Corinne Bailey Rae, and Mary J. Blige.
Each show will also feature a performance from Lilith co-founder Sarah McLachlan. She’s also releasing her new album, “The Laws of Illusion,” just weeks before the tour kick-off.
Tickets for some of the dates are already on sale, with others going on sale Saturday, April 17th. A special Ladies Night 4-ticket package will be offered at participating venues for $99.

Selena Gomez Planning ‘Low-Key’ 18th

The Naturally singer doesn’t want a huge party…
Selena Gomez has claimed that she is planning a low-key celebration to mark her turning 18 later this year.
The Wizards of Waverly Place star, who popped into MTV last week to sing tracks from her new LP is due to celebrate the big one eight in July.
Speaking to Digital Spy, Gomez said:
“It’s a big deal, but I don’t know. I had a sweet 16 and I’m not really into that huge party thing. If anything, I’ll go out to dinner with my family.”
The actress-come-singer, who has recently split with Nick Jonas also said that even when she celebrated the success of her album in the US, she had a quiet family meal.
The 17-year old said:
“When it went gold I think I went to dinner. I know that my stepfather’s dad bought me a cake, and then I went to sushi. I was really excited!”
