We’re so lovin’ that Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth are back together.
The singer and the Aussie hunkster were most recently spotted this weekend shopping in Sydney. He reportedly took a break from filming The Hunger Games in the U.S. to visit her while she’s on tour Down Under.
While this relationship has seen its on days and off days, Miley’s dad, Billy Ray, is pretty clear on how he feels about Mr. Hemsworth. Read on to find out what Papa Cyrus just told me…
“He’s a great guy,” Billy Ray said when he stopped by E! today to promote his new album, I’m American (out June 28). “He’s solid. He’s got great character.”
No surprise, Billy Ray is all for Hemsworth as Gale Hawthorne in The Hunger Games. “Have you read that script?” he asked. “The script is killer, and Liam is going to knock it out of the park. He’s a tremendous talent.
“And I have to tell you, on or off the record, he’s just a good guy,” he added. “He’s just a really good guy. I really like him a lot.”
Can’t ask for better parental approval than that, can ya?
Billy Ray also revealed he wouldn’t mind some more Hannah Montana in his life. “You know, there’s wonderful buzz right now for a prequel to Hannah Montana,” he smiled. “I know Miley couldn’t step back and be that little girl, but I could get my mullet back real quick.”
Sounds like the perfect project for the Billy Ray and Tish’s youngest daughter, 11-year-old Noah Lindsey. Just sayin’.
It’s not like the “Achy Breaky Heart” singer doesn’t have plenty on his plate already. In addition to the new Stars & Stripes-infused album, he continues his decades-long mission to support the troops with Surprise Homecoming, a TLC series he hosts about American troops reuniting with their families that premieres on July 11.
“I do think I have accepted a bit of responsibility for our troops,” said Cyrus, whose recording career was launched in 1992 with “Some Gave All,” a hit song in honor of Vietnam vets. “I feel like I can be a voice. I can be a voice for our veterans and I’ll carry that torch to the best of my ability. [Surprise Homecoming] helps me take a step closer to fulfilling my purpose. Part of that purpose is saying thanks and making sure the troops get the recognition that they deserve.”

At an interview for her new film “The Joneses” on Friday, Demi revealed her plans to team up with Miley: “She plays my daughter. It’s a remake of a French film called ‘LOL,’ with the same French director [Lisa Azeulos]. She’s incredible.”
Fellow “The Joneses” star David couldn’t help but chime in with hopes of becoming involved, if only on the sidelines; “Can I come visit you on set with my daughter?” he asked, admitting it would make him a cool dad because his ten-year-old daughter is a huge Miley fan.
“Yes, you can,” promised Demi. “But you will have to travel on location.”
Demi continued to explain that the film, which will shoot outside of Los Angeles, is about a mother and daughter who struggle to stay close after a respective divorce and breakup. After recently meeting with Miley, Demi says the project is forging ahead – “We’re just kind of getting going…” – and she has little doubt about the daughter casting.
Demi called the “Last Song” star “a true professional,” describing her as having “a wonderful family…it really shows.” And David kept the Miley praise coming.
“She’s funny,” David said. “I watch [Hannah Montana] with my kids, and I’ll be like, ‘That girl is funny!’”

Hannah Montana is coming to an end and Miley Cyrus definitely sounds relieved. We have heard her say that she plans on burning one of her wigs (one will go in a museum) and she told Parade this means the end to wearing pink and glitter.
“I’m going to rejoice and be happy to finally not have to be…well, to not be somebody I’m not exactly,” Miley told Parade magazine “As I’ve grown into it, I’ve grown out of it. Does that make sense? When I was 12, I thought, ‘I want to be famous all the time! I want everybody to recognize me!’”
She went on to say, “Now I just want to be chill and have my private life. When they’re putting me in sparkles and in pink this final season, I have to grit my teeth. I can’t breathe looking like that anymore. A friend came by the set one day and said, ‘You don’t look very happy.’ I said, ‘I’m feeling claustrophobic in all these frills.’ ”
Miley also opened up about Liam Hemsworth, Justin Gaston and Nick Jonas.
“He’s ]Liam] my first serious boyfriend,” she revealed.
“Nick and I were so young,” the teen said. “We really did have a genuine love, but it wasn’t like this. We met when I was 12. I didn’t know who I was. I know who I am now and am so content and full of purpose.”
“He was a good person, so carefree. All I know is that I am so happy right now. I wasn’t last summer after I called it off with Justin and went away to film ‘The Last Song.’ I cried all the way there. The last thing I was expecting to do was to fall in love,” she said. “I went there thinking the summer was about me and getting focused on my career. But I guess God was like, ‘Girl, here is this amazing guy.’ ”
Miley seems happy and confident with the direction her career is headed, as well as her love life.

Hey guys! Just a quick update on everything thats been going on! Miley and our entire family have been so busy! With Hannah Montana filming, Miley is on set everyday! The new episodes are amazing! I’m not sure Miley has ever been busier!
She is filming HM, working on her Walmart clothing line, recording her new album, doing press for The Last Song and so much more. We go to NY soon to promote The Last Song and then to London in April to do International press for the movie. That will be so much fun!
It will be fun to be in London when its not so cold! The movie comes out on March 31st! Cant wait for you guys to see it! It is such an incredible movie. With Miley, Liam, Greg Kinear, and written my Nicholas Sparks, you cant go wrong!
P.S. Hey Guys! Check out Bret Michaels new song Nothing to Lose! When Miley was in the studio recording Every Rose Has Its Thorn, Bret was playing Miley, Liam and me some of his new music. It was a lot of fun hanging out with Bret and his band in the studio.
When we heard Nothing to Lose, we all fell in love with the song! So, while taking a break from working on Every Rose, Miley put down some harmonies on Nothing to Lose for fun! It turned out so great, it ended up on the single! You guys need to check it out!

At the beginning of the year, Miley Cyrus announced that season four would be the last for her hugely popular Disney series “Hannah Montana.” Fellow Disney star Selena Gomez said her colleague is just ready to move on to bigger and more mature things, even if her fans will feel the void left by her decision to end the show.
“I think that she’s growing with the show, and I think it’s such a great platform for her,” Gomez told MTV News, adding that she has yet to talk to Cyrus about her post-”Hannah Montana” plans. “And she’s lived up to it as wonderfully as she could, and I think she continues to carry it, but she’s ready for other things.”
Although there’s still some time until the show does finally end, Cyrus has expressed her desire to tackle more mature projects, like her role in the forthcoming Nicholas Sparks movie “The Last Song.” “Everything is so dramatic in the world,” Cyrus told Harper’s Bazaar. “My job is to be a role model, and that’s what I want to do, but my job isn’t to be a parent. My job isn’t to tell your kids how to act or how not to act, because I’m still figuring that out for myself. So to take that away from me is a bit selfish. Your kids are going to make mistakes whether I do or not. That’s just life.”

The 15-year old stars in the programme which targets audiences made up of girls between six and fourteen. In the show, made by Disney, Miley plays a schoolgirl who leads a secret double life as a pop star.
Despite the young impressionable market she is selling to, Cyrus wants her show to go in a direction more akin to the adult themes of New York based Sex And The City. However, she denies wanting to make Hannah Montana’s situations raunchy like Carrie, Miranda, Charlotte and Samantha. She explains via Wenn: “Obviously not the scenarios.
“But, if you watch Sex and the City, like the way the friends are, the way that it’s dry and they all have distinct characters – that’s a thing we try to do on our show. It’s my favourite show! I love it!”
