Chelsea Kane sits down for a chat with Jay Leno on The Tonight Show on Wednesday night (May 18).
The 21-year-old Dancing With The Stars finalist, wearing Nicole Miller, dished about one of the famed Jonas Brothers pranks, “You really have to be brilliant in practical jokes around them. I had come into work one day and they had stripped my dressing room down to the bare bones — everything was gone. Lightbulbs, cords, everything and the whole crew was in on this.”
“They even went so far as to pull me into the production office and tell me that I was fired. I was so devastated. [After I found out that it was a joke] they had placed my furniture all over the sound stage and I had to go all around and find everything by myself.”
Chelsea is also pictured going to and from dance practice, preparing for the final dances of the season.

It’s official. JONAS L.A. will not be coming back for a third season.
A Disney Channel spokesperson told JJJ, “We’ve been fortunate to work with the enormously talented Jonas Brothers on several projects, including the Emmy-nominated series JONAS L.A.
“The series has concluded as scheduled after two very successful seasons, and all original episodes of its second season have aired. The Jonas Brothers are currently busy wrapping up their 40+ city concert tour and will soon be back in the studio working on music projects for Disney’s Hollywood Records. We look forward to working with them on new projects in the future.”
TELL JJJ: Are you happy or sad that JONAS will not be coming back?
The new music video for “Summer Rain” premiered on the Disney Channel original show “JONAS L.A.” recently and featured the Jonas Brothers and their co-star Chelsea Staub.
Have you been watching the Disney Channel original show “JONAS L.A.” this season? What do you think of the second season so far?
This weekend we hung out with some of our favorite celebs at the Disney Friends for Change event in Hollywood. EVERYONE was there including the Jonas Brothers, Chelsea Staub, Nicole Anderson, Jake T. Austin, Jennifer Stone, Sterling Knight, Tiffany Thornton, Bridgit Mendler, Debby Ryan, Mitchel Musso and tons more of your faves from Sonny with a Chance, Wizards of Waverly Place, Camp Rock 2, Good Luck Charlie and JONAS. Everyone was so excited about helping the environment and their upcoming summer plans!
The Jonas Brothers are stoked for season two of JONAS and reuniting on tour this summer! Nick said he learned a lot about himself from doing solo shows this past year but he’s so excited to hit the road with his brothers. “It’s going to be unlike any other show we’ve ever done,” he spilled. Although Nick was hush hush about his relationship with Nicole Anderson, costar Chelsea Staub gave us her take on a possible romance between the two. “On the show they do finally start to see each other in a different light so they’re living out this romance onscreen,” she smiled. “On the other side, they are forced to hang out a lot more and are on set for 5-6 hours at a time so they are definitely closer than they were last season.” Ooh, that’s interesting Chels! We’ll believe that their love is onscreen for now, but keep you readers posted if we hear anything else!
There is going to be a so called “surprise” web chat by the Jonas Brothers today. It’s at 4:30pm PST (7:30pm EST). To check the time around the world, CLICK HERE.

Rob Brenner, a Syracuse University alumnus and the director of touring for The Jonas Group Management Company, told students Tuesday that successful artists are the ones who follow the same “never say no” philosophy he lives by.
“We never say ‘No.’ We demand that artists have that same attitude. It’s about work ethic,” Brenner said.
Brenner spoke to students in Room 007 of the Martin J. Whitman School of Management about the challenges and rewards of working in the music business. The lecture was sponsored by the Bandier Program for Music and the Entertainment Industries’ Soyars Leadership Lecture Series. In addition to speaking about the value of hard work in the industry, Brenner told students about his job managing the Jonas Brothers’ tours and said he looks for artists who adhere to his same work standards.
“It’s long, hard work, but this business, it’s my true love,” Brenner said.
Brenner has worked with Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake and P. Diddy and is currently working with the Jonas Brothers. He said he believes the Jonas Brothers have the work ethic that will allow them to succeed in the music industry for a long time.
“People talk about the Jonas Brothers being an overnight sensation, but they worked hard for four years playing free shows in shopping malls,” Brenner said.
Not only do the Jonas Brothers perform on tour, Brenner said, but they also write all of their own music and play a large role in the production process. Brenner works with and manages 14 artists under the Jonas Brothers Group Management and said the Jonas Brothers are very involved with the company and its artists. The band has a saying: “You live like you’re at the bottom even when you’re at the top,” he said.
Stefan Tessoun, a sophomore music industry major, said Brenner’s message inspired him to work harder in order to pursue his goals.
“I realized I need to work a lot harder at the things I want to do,” Tessoun said. “It’s a tough business.”
Brenner said he learned the importance of taking advantage of every opportunity available while he was a student at Syracuse University.
“I stacked chairs at the Carrier Dome because I knew I wanted to work on the stage crew, and that was the way to get there,” he said.
Brenner does not have a formula for how to make it in the music industry, but he said he believes that a willingness to take advantage of opportunities will put someone at the top of the business. He said many artists are able to achieve fame, but the number of them who are able to make a living from their success is much smaller.
People who aspire to work in the music industry must be willing to take jobs that may not seem important, like answering phone calls or working in the mail room, Brenner said.
“Never turn down an opportunity, even if it’s not in your interest,” he said. “By meeting people and getting connections, that’s how you’ll get it.”
