LONDON – Selena Gomez wants to be a part of the Harry Potter series.

She said: “It would be awesome (to have a cameo).

“I think the special effects in that are amazing.”

The star has just signed up for a lead role in Monte Carlo, opposite Nicole Kidman, reports The Sun.

“We start shooting in two weeks,” said Selena.

“But I’ve already met Nicole. She’s very sweet and I’m completely honoured to work with her.” (ANI)

Selena Gomez is shocked to have so many fans in the UK.

The ‘Naturally’ singer is in England this week promoting her forthcoming debut album ‘Kiss & Tell’ and on Monday (April 5), she performed a sold-out show in London.

Talking about the headline concert – her first ever in the city – Selena admits that she was blown away by the reception her fans gave her.

“I have never had a show that wonderful. It was amazing,” Gomez gushed about her overseas fans. “My album’s not even out yet and everyone knew every single word to my songs.

“To be honest, I didn’t know I had fans that weren’t in America. Being able to come here and meet the people that we enjoy making laugh on our show and enjoy making music for was amazing, it was really wonderful.”

Selena, star of ‘Wizards of Waverly Place’, added: “After the show last night, I just want to live here basically! It was amazing. The audience were really appreciative of the music and my band and I, so it was really great.”

Selena Gomez has been speaking about the pressure of being a teen icon.

Following in the footsteps of Miley Cyrus and Demi Lovato, 17-year-old Selena is the latest tween sensation from Disney and whilst she understands that children may look up to her, Selena said she can only be herself:

“I try and be the best person I can be, but I am not perfect. I am going to make mistakes. I just try and keep those mistakes to myself,” said the star.

Like Miley, Selena has numerous projects on the go at once. She currently has her own TV series called The Wizards of Waverly Place, a debut album and a movie with Nicole Kidman in the pipeline.

She has also made the papers due to relationship rumours with Nick Jonas and more recently, Twilight star Taylor Lautner. But Selena says she understands the press intrusion is just part of her job:

“I do not think you ever get used to people talking about you – or at least I won’t. I just try and understand it comes with the territory and focus on the positive things,” said the teenager.

Selena is currently in London to launch a Wizard’s of Waverly fashion range for Asda.

Hey guys! Just a quick update on everything thats been going on! Miley and our entire family have been so busy! With Hannah Montana filming, Miley is on set everyday! The new episodes are amazing! I’m not sure Miley has ever been busier!

She is filming HM, working on her Walmart clothing line, recording her new album, doing press for The Last Song and so much more. We go to NY soon to promote The Last Song and then to London in April to do International press for the movie. That will be so much fun!

It will be fun to be in London when its not so cold! The movie comes out on March 31st! Cant wait for you guys to see it! It is such an incredible movie. With Miley, Liam, Greg Kinear, and written my Nicholas Sparks, you cant go wrong!

P.S. Hey Guys! Check out Bret Michaels new song Nothing to Lose! When Miley was in the studio recording Every Rose Has Its Thorn, Bret was playing Miley, Liam and me some of his new music. It was a lot of fun hanging out with Bret and his band in the studio.

When we heard Nothing to Lose, we all fell in love with the song! So, while taking a break from working on Every Rose, Miley put down some harmonies on Nothing to Lose for fun! It turned out so great, it ended up on the single! You guys need to check it out!
