Teen actress/singer Miley Cyrus has always spoken out about her belief for gay rights, sparking some controversy among the public. After getting a tattoo to symbolize her belief in “all love is equal”, many questioned Miley’s beliefs and religion. Now, the star has taken to Glamour to write about her decision on the new tattoo.

Imagine finding someone you love more than anything in the world, who you would risk your life for but couldn’t marry. And you couldn’t have that special day the way your friends do—you know, wear the ring on your finger and have it mean the same thing as everybody else. Just put yourself in that person’s shoes. It makes me feel sick to my stomach.
When I shared a picture of my tattoo on my Twitter page and said, “All LOVE is equal,” a lot of people mocked me—they said, “What happened to you? You used to be a Christian girl!” And I said, “Well, if you were a true Christian, you would have your facts straight. Christianity is about love.” The debate resulted in a lot of threats and hate mail to people who agreed and disagreed with me. At one point I had to say, “Dude, everyone lay off.” Can’t people have friendly debates about sensitive topics without it turning into unnecessary threats?
I believe every American should be allowed the same rights and civil liberties. Without legalized same-sex marriage, most of the time you cannot share the same health benefits, you are not considered next of kin and you are not granted the same securities as a heterosexual couple. How is this different than having someone sit in the back of the bus because of their skin color?
One day I read online about the head of Urban Outfitters donating to a presidential candidate who does not support equality for everyone. I was shocked and disappointed that a company with such diversity would exclude such a large group of people. I can no longer bring myself to shop there.
We all should be tolerant of one another and embrace our differences. My dad [country singer Billy Ray Cyrus], who is a real man’s man, lives on the farm and is as Southern and straight as they come. He loves my gay friends and even supports same-sex marriage. If my father can do it, anyone can.
This is America, the nation of dreams. We’re so proud of that. And yet certain people are excluded. It’s just not right.

The 19-year-old actress/singer, who is currently on tour with The Scene in South America, chatted with the mag about dating in the world of Hollywood.
“I’m just like every 19-year-old girl,” Selena shared. “If you’re in love, you’re in love to the fullest, and you just want to go to the movies, hang out, and be as normal as possible. I’m fortunate that I’ve found someone who has that philosophy.”

The beautiful Miley Cyrus stepped out with her boyfriend Liam Hemsworth last night (January 11) to attend the 2012 People’s Choice Awards in Los Angeles.
Miley looked stunning in a white David Koma dress paired with a Marchesa clutch and metallic heels. Miley tweeted about her shoes saying “I have a love/hate relationship w these shoes right now! I think Id be in LESS pain if you chopped my toes off”
Miley also found a computer with the PCA twitter account opened and tweeted from the account! “its miley! i just found a computer with this account open haha! =]]] im hacking PCA bout to watch my boo go on stage xx love yall”
Liam was a presenter during the show alongside his Hunger Games co-star Jennifer Lawrence. The two made an appearance to promote the movie, which is due out this March!

Teen superstar made headlines with her thriving career as a singer, actress.

Selena Gomez will watch the ball drop as one of the many A-listers set to hang out with MTV on New Year’s Eve during “NYE in NYC 2012.” As one year ends and another begins, it seems like a great time to reflect on the very busy year that the teen superstar and the show’s host is bidding a fond farewell to.
When the year kicked off, Gomez was already knee-deep in reports that she was dating pop heartthrob Justin Bieber. And while her love life dominated many of the headlines, her thriving acting and singing career also managed to make a few of its own.
In March, she dropped her single “Who Says,” and explained that she wanted to empower fans with the feel-good track. “So I thought it was a sweet message,” she explained. “With bullying, with cyberbullying, with all the negativity that is in high school and dealing with things, you’re already trying to figure out who you are; it doesn’t help when people are constantly trying to tear you down. And I’m dealing with it, of course. I’m going through it as well.”
As she continued to prep for her 2011 tour and album release, she also focused on her acting career. In April she dropped her comedy “Monte Carlo.” “It’s a fun movie about three girls who try to go on a vacation,” Gomez said of the big-screen summer romp. “And it ends up being horrible and my character gets mistaken for a British heiress, and they figure, ‘What better way to make a horrible vacation amazing than to be a British heiress?’ ”
She finished filming her Disney show, “Wizards of Waverly Place,” in May. And after being briefly hospitalized in June, she was back on the scene with her album When the Sun Goes Down.
For her next video for “Love You Like a Love Song,” the singer took fans on a wild karaoke-fueled bender through the ’80s. She followed up the clip with stints as the VMA pre-show host and then hosted the MTV EMA in November.
Right before the holidays, she released one more video, the party clip for “Hit the Lights.” “This one’s saying that I’m at the point where I’m having fun with it. I’m not trying to be older. I’m not trying to be younger. I’m trying to explain where I’m at in my life, and I feel like that’s what describes it, and having fun with my friends and it was beautiful and it was simple,” she told MTV News. “I thought it was nice.”
In 2012, she’s set to film her “raw” role in the drama “Spring Breakers,” and as she looks back on her own 2011 she explained that she felt “humbled” by it all. “I feel like this approach of this year, I wasn’t expecting any of the things that happened,” she said. “And so I just kind of want to go into the end of this year and the beginning of next year just excited and in a good place and not planning anything.”

High School Musical star Vanessa Hudgens may have had her heart broken by costar Zac Efron last year, but that doesn’t mean the 22-year-old is giving up on love!
According to reports, Hudgens stepped out with her new man, actor Austin Butler at a birthday party for Ashley Tisdale’s older sister, Jennifer, late last month and although the two weren’t engaging in any major PDA, onlookers say the pair appeared to be enjoying each others company.
A source who attended the shindig shared that Butler and Hudgens,
…Were together but in a large group… They were not doing anything to show that they were really together romantically but they were definitely hanging out and having fun.
Butler, who is best known for playing Jamie Lynn Spears’ love interest on Zoey 101 and his current role on ABC Family’s Switched at Birth, is two years Hudgens’ junior – so it looks like someone nabbed himself an HSM Cougar!

Demi Lovato’s latest release, Unbroken, is garnering lots of attention thanks to its catchy tracks and empowering message. Beyond co-signs from Lovatics and a number of celebrities, including Ashley Greene, Sean Kingston and even Joe Jonas, it’s also received great reviews from the hardest people to please: the critics. But Lovato isn’t paying attention to any of it. She told MTV News she’s more focused on the here and now and the excitement of having a whole new crop of music for everyone to hear.
“I haven’t actually looked at any of the critics or reviews,” she said. “So, if they’re good, awesome; if they’re bad, whatever.”
According to reports, despite some stiff competition on the charts from the likes of Tony Bennett and Lady Antebellum, Lovato is still expected to sell pretty big. Billboard.com reports that she’ll likely sell about 110,000 copies of her album, besting her previous chart-topping release, 2009′s Here We Go Again, which sold slightly less with 108,000.
“I’m feeling really excited,” Lovato said. “The album just came out, so we’re really, really excited. And it seems to be doing well, so I’m really, really happy.”
Now that the album is getting some love and she’s readying the release of her next single, “Who’s That Boy,” it seems like a good time to start remixing tracks. “I’d love to hear the feedback on who would want to remix,” she said. “We actually have a remix on the album by Wizz Dumb, and he remixed ‘Skyscraper,’ and it sounds really awesome. If anyone would jump on the album, Lil Wayne might be just the right guy. Lovato has certainly made his track “How to Love” all her own. Of a potential collaboration, she said:
“That would be amazing. I’ve never met him in my life, so if I got to be onstage with him, I would just die.”

 Brenda Song is pregnant with Trace Cyrus’ baby, and Miley Cyrus couldn’t be happier. The former Hannah Montana star is reportedly thrilled that she’ll soon be an Aunt.
“Miley is very happy for her brother and Brenda,” an insider revealed. “It was a pleasant surprise and the whole family is supporting them through this time.”
Although Trace and Brenda haven’t been dating for very long, the entire Cyrus clan is allegedly excited for the new addition to their family. “They approve of the baby because they know how much Brenda and Trace really love each other,” the source added.
Being pregnant at a young age is very hard. It’s great that Miley and the entire family are being so helpful during this happy, yet stressful, time. The amount of love and support that Brenda Song receives during her pregnancy is important.
Now that fans know Miley Cyrus is eager to meet her niece or nephew, most are wondering what Trace Cyrus thinks about becoming a young father, and how the couple will deal the pressure of being in the spotlight during this time.

With the love tour that Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez have been on, many have been wondering if they’ve been around to support Selena’s best friend, Demi Lovato. The teen power couple took in Taylor Swift’s LA concert—will they also be at Demi’s? Though neither were in attendance for Lovato’s Skyscraper performance on America’s Got Talent, Selena Gomez tweeted her BFF a message of support.
Gomez’ tweets, “SO, SO proud of Demi Lovato, Skyscraper. Incredible, beautiful and so inspiring.” After watching the amazing show that Lovato gave last night, anyone would have goosebumps watching a friend do something like that. Demi proved that she is truly the real deal, at one point even playing the piano!
Skyscraper is an intensely personal song for Demi Lovato as it speaks to her journey through emotional disorders and rehab. She is truly an inspiration for teens and adults alike, so it’s wonderful to see her friend Selena give her the public respect that she’s due.

Demi Lovato got a lot of positive feedback from her fans when she released the cover art and name of her new single, Skyscraper. She has switched gears to focus on her music career, and will soon be putting out her first album since leaving treatment in January and leaving Disney’s Sonny With a Chance.
After she revealed the single name and artwork, Demi received a ton of feedback from her followers, almost all of them showing their love and support – and their excitement – for her new album!
“Thank you guys so much for all the support today.. Wow.. Thank you!!! I love you all,” she wrote on Monday. Clearly, she was overwhelmed by messages, which is great reinforcement and motivation for the young star. She is definitely one of the best role models for teens out there, and the love that she gets is so well deserved! We’re sure her album will totally rock!
