Miley Cyrus caused a spark of controversy with a tattoo that reads ‘All Love is Equal’ last year.

Now, the 19-year-old actress is addressing what happened and her view on marriage equality on Glamour.com.

She writes, “Imagine finding someone you love more than anything in the world, who you would risk your life for but couldn’t marry. And you couldn’t have that special day the way your friends do—you know, wear the ring on your finger and have it mean the same thing as everybody else. Just put yourself in that person’s shoes. It makes me feel sick to my stomach.

“When I shared a picture of my tattoo on my Twitter page and said, “All LOVE is equal,” a lot of people mocked me—they said, ‘What happened to you? You used to be a Christian girl!’ And I said, ‘Well, if you were a true Christian, you would have your facts straight. Christianity is about love.’ The debate resulted in a lot of threats and hate mail to people who agreed and disagreed with me. At one point I had to say, ‘Dude, everyone lay off.’ Can’t people have friendly debates about sensitive topics without it turning into unnecessary threats?”

Miley added at the end, “This is America, the nation of dreams. We’re so proud of that. And yet certain people are excluded. It’s just not right.”

While spending some time at home, the accident prone Miley Cyrus gave herself a little injury while jumping onto her couch.

The former Hannah Montana star took to her twitter to talk about her little mishap, saying that it was an injury that only she could have.

“cracked my tail bone doing a front flip… on to the couch. thats like when i tripped over a pillow and broke my arm. #onlyme”

Ouch!

Miley has also been chatting about what she’s been up to lately – which includes lots of cleaning!

“Spring cleaning in January.” Miley tweeted yesterday. “@Paul_Khoury haha! why am i alwayyyyysss cleaning.”

The 19-year-old musician takes over an abandoned home with her band for the tune, which is featured on the Chimes of Freedom: Songs of Bob Dylan Honoring 50 Years of Amnesty International album.

Teen queen Miley Cyrus has reappeared on the music scene with a brand new music video for her cover of Bob Dylan‘s song You’re Gonna Make Me Lonesome When You Go. The song will be a part of the new album Chimes of Freedom: The Songs of Bob Dylan Honoring 50 Years of Amnesty International, which includes 4-discs of singles covered by artists and is released tomorrow (January 24th).

MTV even gave Miley’s cover a great review! Check out what they had to say:

Miley covers “You’re Gonna Make Me Lonesome When You Go” with all of the mournfulness and dusty sentiment that the classic Dylan song requires, pouring her heart into the track and giving the legend his due instead of simply covering the track and moving on. (It’s hard to top the Shawn Colvin version, but Miley comes dangerously close.)

It takes not only guts but cojones the size of wrecking balls to cover Bob Dylan, and Miley rose to the occasion and not only proved that she’s capable of genres beyond pop but that she thrives vocally in a folk/ country environment. I’m now waiting impatiently for that country album, Milers.
