Selena Gomez is pretty in a pink Nanette Lepore dress on the March 2012 cover of Cosmopolitan.

The 19-year-old actress/singer, who is currently on tour with The Scene in South America, chatted with the mag about dating in the world of Hollywood.

“I’m just like every 19-year-old girl,” Selena shared. “If you’re in love, you’re in love to the fullest, and you just want to go to the movies, hang out, and be as normal as possible. I’m fortunate that I’ve found someone who has that philosophy.”

Selena also shared a cute Instagram pic with stepdad Brian giving her a piggy back ride.

“So every time I perform Who Says I always go barefoot (which everyone hates, but it’s fun) so that means Brian has to give me piggy back rides all the way out of the venues ” she wrote. How cute!

As she continues on her tour, singer Selena Gomez was presented with a gold disc for her latest album When The Sun Goes Down for selling more than 30,000 copies.

Selena showed off her gold album in Mexico during a photo call, where she showed off a stylish pink blazer paired with some jean shorts and a white tank. We love the look!

Selena Gomez Dream Out Loud

With a new year comes a brand new collection of clothes from Dream out Loud, Selena Gomez‘s clothing line.

The Hit the Lights songstress shared a new video on her youtube page from the photoshoot of the 2012 collection. Selena chatted about some of her favorite pieces from the upcoming line, including some new flare jeans!

“I do love the flare jeans.” Selena said. “It’s just because I wear skinny jeans religiously, so I’m really happy that we’re going to have a bit of the flare 70s kind of look in the spring line.”

“I didn’t want my clothing line to just be about me, I wanted it to be about my fans. They’re independent, they’re individual. So they can wear one of my cardigans and dress it with a cute skirt, or with pants, or with boots, or with flats. It’s whatever they want.”

The 19-year-old actress/musician opened up in the vid about the feel for her new collection and the importance of it’s meaning for her fans.

“Ultimately, you should be dressing for you and no one else,” Sel shared. “There are going to be a thousand articles in magazines and on the internet; celebrities and boyfriends and friends telling you what you should wear and what looks great. But at the end of the day, nothing feels more amazing than wearing something you love.”

In between working on a few new movies and writing new tunes, Selena Gomez will be heading to the Democratic Republic of the Congo in Africa.

The 19-year-old musician/actress tells EOnline about her upcoming trip for UNICEF, “We first went to Ghana and then we went to Chile. In April, we’re going to go somewhere a little harder, the Congo…The first trips were to ease me into it.”

Selena has previously helped out the country — in 2009, she attended the Raise Hope for the Congo event in L.A. to help raise awareness about sexual violence against women and girls in the country.

She added about the trip, “I was talking to Joel Madden and he works with UNICEF and he went to the Congo. He said it was the most intense thing he had ever done in his entire life—and the best thing he had ever done.”

Selena Gomez is pulling another novel under her July Moon Productions umbrella.

The 19-year-old actress/musician has optioned “The Sky Is Everywhere” by Jandy Nelson, Deadline reports.

Selena will play Lennie in the book to screen adaption.

“The Sky is Everywhere” is about Lennie Walker, a 17-year-old bookworm and band geek who plays second clarinet and spends her time tucked safely and happily in the shadow of her fiery older sister, Bailey.

But when Bailey dies abruptly, Lennie is catapulted to center stage of her own life – and, despite her nonexistent history with boys, suddenly finds herself struggling to balance two. Toby — Bailey’s grieving boyfriend; and Joe, the new boy in town from Paris whose nearly magical grin is matched only by his musical talent.

Selena also has Jay Asher‘s “13 Reasons Why” to film.

Selena Gomez dons a bold blue dress as she hits the Puerto Rico Coliseum stage on Saturday night (January 21).

The 19-year-old musician tweeted before the show, “Puerto Rico– 4 hours til show time, so excited to be back such a fun place to kick off my South American Tour it’s like my second home. Love you all.”

After this tour, Selena recently told EOnline that she and The Scene would be taking a break.

“We’re going to take a break from music. My band and I are going to chill on that for a second. I’ll be doing two films in the beginning of [2012], which I’m excited about. They are both different and things I’ve never played before and will be fun for me,” she shared.

Pop star Selena Gomez took to the stage at the L.A. House of Blues Friday night, to raise money for the United Nations Children’s Fund (or UNICEF.  You know, that organization we all collected change for every Halloween?)

The 19-year-old was joined by her boyfriend Justin Bieber (obviously!), Ashley Tisdale, David Beckhan and other A-listers to raise money and awareness for this worthy cause that supports needy kids all over the world.

Selena took to her Facebook page to thank all those who came out to support her fundraising efforts

I don’t have an exact number but together we all raised over 200,000 dollars to benefit Unicef. We’re helping to save the lives of children all over the world.

Gomez has been working hand-in-hand with UNICEF since 2008 and became an official representative for their cause in 2009.

Selena Gomez must reaaallly love her fans because the 19-year-old let them weigh in on what scents would be featured in her latest fragrance. According to the Gomster’s official website (Yes, I’m calling her that now), the main “note” will be raspberries, followed by a heart note of purple freesia and a base note of vanilla.

I have absolutely no idea what that means, but I’m guessing it’s going to smell real purdy-like.

BFFs Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez finally got to log some serious hang time hours when the two hooked up to hang with pals earlier this week. According to sources, the gals gabbed, gossiped and wrote in their dream journals until the wee hours of the morning.

Okay, that part I made up, but it does sort of seem like something they’d do.

The gal pals’ bond seems to be stronger than ever, despite the fact that Selena recently took to her Twitter to announce that she has a new BBF – her puppy Baylor!

According to model Ali Williams, who locked lips with the pop star, Bieber is a “great kisser” and a perfect gentleman – not a bad combo!

It wasn’t awkward at all… He was so nice and relaxed. Justin was very respectful, so it was comfortable.

Williams also revealed that Bieber’s longtime GF Selena Gomez was on-set during the entire kissing scene and was “totally professional” about it.

<P>For her music video for "Hit the Lights," Selena Gomez dons several party-ready looks as she and her crew spend a day chilling out in a sun-drenched cornfield playing with balloons and watermelons before heading to a rave later that night.

The video is like a <a href="http://newsroom.mtv.com/2011/10/03/selena-gomez-hits-the-desert-for-music-video">day in the life of Selena Gomez</a> &#8212; if she wasn't an internationally known singer/actress and had time to hang out with her mall-punk friends and dance her life away. The message of the clip (and the song) seems to be to have fun, live your life and throw caution to the wind.

Gomez kicks the party off early, giving flirty looks while riding around on tractors and smashing pumpkins as the track's pulsing beat plays to her feel-good lyrics. Midway through the video, the atmosphere transitions from day to night and Gomez's wardrobe also takes on a more sparkling vibe.

Next, Selena shows up at a house party with lights flashing everywhere. She dances around as scenes of a far-off city flash by in fast-motion. The song closes out with a montage of party scenes, and in the end, Selena is left alone in a field somewhere, fireworks blasting above her as she twirls around with sparklers ion her hands.

Directed by Philip Andelman (Jonas Brothers, Beyonc&#233;, Ludacris, Jay-Z), the video celebrates the spirit of who Gomez is right now in her life, she told MTV News.

"This one's saying that I'm at the point where I'm having fun with it. I'm not trying to be older. I'm not trying to be younger. I'm trying to explain where I'm at in my life, and I feel like that's what describes it, and having fun with my friends and it was beautiful and it was simple," she said in a phone interview. "I thought it was nice."

The song is about embracing life and throwing caution to the wind &#8212; emotions that are certainly captured in the video's colorful party scenes.

"To be honest, I didn't really quite know the direction that I wanted it in the beginning," she said. "When we read this treatment, my mom and I really, really liked it, and we thought it would look really cool. And then when we got on set, it just took it to a whole other level."

The organic nature of the video, which follows Gomez and her pals as they make their way from a day hanging out in the country to a house party later that night, is really what interested Gomez.

"It was very relaxed, which is really refreshing, because most of my videos require a lot of [work]. Either there's wardrobe changes that are intense and there's hair and makeup that's really out there, but this one was just a little more relaxed and organic," she said. "My favorite scene would probably be when me and my band and my dancers are in the back of the truck and we're eating watermelon and we're just hanging out."

Dressed in a black corset and skirt, the former Disney starlet belted out the tune, offering fans big notes and vocal runs.

"America's Best Dance Crew" winners I.aM.mE turned the stage into a dance extravaganza when they moved to the groove of LMFAO's "Party Rock Anthem." Much like their choreography on the MTV dance competition, the six-member group showed off some slick moves that utilized body parts as objects. They continued to perform throughout the event to the music of Pitbull and Rihanna.

<a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/derulo__jason/artist.jhtml">Jason Der&#252;lo</a> turned up the dance even more when he took the stage for "It Girl" and "Don't Wanna Go Home." Surrounded by fans, the R&B star made proper use of his sideline female dancer for the first number and an entire crew of backup dancers for the following tune.

Viewers also caught a glimpse of the reboot of MTV's beloved <a href="/news/articles/1676255/punkd-returning-2012.jhtml">"Punk'd."</a> Teaser footage included pranks played on Posey and Khlo&#233; Kardashian with the help of Miley Cyrus, Kelly Osbourne and Bam Margera.

<a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/mac_miller/artist.jhtml">Mac Miller</a> topped off his successful 2011 with a comedic performance of his hit single <a href="/news/articles/1673301/mac-miller-party-fifth-ave-video.jhtml">"Party on Fifth Ave,"</a> in which he recreated the tune's retro clip. Miller arrived on set with high energy and encouraged the audience to jump to their feet.

Soon after, <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/jcole/artist.jhtml">J. Cole</a> continued to rep for rap with "Work Out." Walking back and forth in a path made by fans, the MC spit the feel-good song as the audience simultaneously waved their hands in the air.

After some dance jams courtesy of DJ Sunnery James and Ryan Marciano, "Switched at Birth" starlets Vanessa Marano and Katie Leclerc appeared in studio and took photos with fans.

Wrapping up the show was <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/gomez__selena/artist.jhtml">Selena Gomez</a>, who screamed the countdown to 2012 and kicked off her first performance of the new year with a medley of "Love You Like a Love Song" and "Hit the Lights." As the audience cheered and confetti filled the air, the pop star was all smiles in her sparkly dress.

MTV News caught up with Posey backstage, where he spoke about the high-profile gig, saying, "I personally don't feel like I am at this level yet to be doing this. I feel honored, grateful and thankful."
